The 7th–8th Grade Travel Division will consist of one Travel A team, selected through the middle school tryout process conducted by the MS/HS coaching staff.
All players must attend middle school tryouts to be eligible for selection.

Tryout Date: November 14 via SGAMS athletics (attendance is mandatory for the SGYBA team consideration)

Registration Details:

• Registration will remain open through November 16, following the middle school basketball tryouts.

• A $150 registration fee will be due by November 25 (via cash or check). Payment details will be provided once your child is placed on a roster.

• Practices are expected to begin 1–2 weeks after middle school tryouts, pending completed registrations and coach assignments.

Only players who participate in middle school tryouts are eligible for the SGYBA 7/8 team. Unfortunately, players who do not attend tryouts cannot be considered at this time.

To help us begin practices quickly after rosters are finalized, please pre-register your child in advance. There is no fee to pre-register, and if your child makes the middle school team, their SGYBA registration will be canceled automatically. This process helps us start the season promptly, as the first game is scheduled for December 6.

Please note: If a player is invited to join the SGYBA 7/8 team but does not register or respond within the given timeframe, their roster spot will be offered to the next eligible player due to firm league submission deadlines.
